Built for e-commerce sellers, resellers, and small businesses.

Taxero exists because sales tax compliance was broken for the sellers who needed it most — and we knew how to fix it.
Why we built Taxero
Alex and Euwye came up through accounting doing exactly this work — multi-state sales tax filings, nexus analysis, back-period catch-ups, voluntary disclosure negotiations. Between them, they've filed across all 46 U.S. sales tax jurisdictions, talked sellers through audits, and watched the same pattern repeat: someone builds a real business on eBay or Shopify, crosses the threshold in six states without realizing it, and then gets a letter from one of them. Then the panic.
The software that existed was built for enterprise compliance teams with dedicated tax staff. Opaque pricing, mandatory sales calls, minimum annual contracts, and interfaces that assumed a CPA was already on staff to interpret the output. The sellers who needed help most — individual resellers, multi-platform sellers, small DTC brands — weren't the customer those products were designed for.
So we built the product we would have recommended to those sellers, priced the way it should have always been priced: $19.99 per return, no monthly fee, free nexus monitoring forever.
How Taxero actually works
Taxero is not an API wrapper or an automated rule engine that fires and hopes for the best. Every return goes through a process that combines AI-assisted preparation with human review before it's filed. The software calculates your nexus exposure, maps your sales to the correct jurisdictions, applies the right rates, and prepares the return. A human reviews it. Then it goes out.
That's a meaningful distinction. Fully automated systems make mistakes that don't surface until you get a notice — wrong rate applied, incorrect entity type, wrong filing period. Having people who have actually filed in all 46 U.S. sales tax jurisdictions look at returns before they go out catches those mistakes. It also means you have a real person to call if something comes up.
The nexus monitoring side is fully automated. We watch your sales in real time, alert you when you're approaching a threshold, and handle registration automatically when you cross one. You don't have to know that Kansas has no transaction threshold, or that New York requires both thresholds to be met, or that Alabama has a simplified 8% flat rate program that most sellers should use. We know, and we apply it.
The founders
Accounting professionals who built the tool they always wished existed.
Alex
Taxero Founder
Built Taxero after years of watching marketplace sellers get blindsided by sales tax obligations that better tooling would have prevented entirely. Brings the product vision and the accounting foundation in equal measure.
Euwye
Taxero Founder
Brings deep expertise in multi-state tax, marketplace economics, and reseller compliance — the real-world knowledge that powers every Taxero filing. Has navigated voluntary disclosures, audit responses, and threshold analysis across more states than most tax software has ever heard of.
We built the compliance team that every marketplace seller needed but couldn't afford to hire.
